What to do in case you cause damage to the vehicle during your rental. ALQUILER AINA CAR, S.L. (hereinafter also referred to as Aina Car) has implemented a transparent damage management policy to explain how we will charge you for any damages you may cause to the vehicle during your rental. Generally, our customers drive carefully and few accidents occur. However, in the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, it is important that you understand how we will handle it. You will not be required to pay the full amount for the damage in all cases. Please note that depending on the type of coverage you subscribe to for your rental, you may not have to pay for the damage to the vehicle or may only have to pay for it partially (see Insurance and Coverage Information section).
If damage is identified after the vehicle is returned during the inspection in your presence and in the presence of an agent designated by Aina Car, and if you acknowledge the damage by signing the Vehicle Return Statement, Aina Car will later provide you with an invoice that includes the costs of repair and vehicle immobilization, along with an administrative charge for the handling of such damages. Repair costs will vary depending on the type of damage: Minor Damages: Minor damages are those listed in the average repair and replacement price list, available here and at any Aina Car office. Minor damages found on the Vehicle at the time of return will be charged in accordance with this list. Other Damages: Damages not included or valued in the previous average price list will be billed based on an estimate issued by a workshop or evaluation performed by an independent external appraiser contracted for this purpose by Aina Car. If you dispute the damages and their billing by refusing to sign the Vehicle Return Statement, Aina Car will apply the procedure described below (see the following section B).
If damages are identified in your absence during the inspection of the Vehicle by an agent designated by Aina Car, we will send you the following documents: Accident Report if available, and the vehicle return statement describing all identified damages. Photos of the damages. An estimate of repair costs (including the corresponding vehicle immobilization) which will vary depending on the nature of the damage (see section A above) and the administrative costs for the management of the damage. You may dispute the identified damages and their billing before 14 days have elapsed from the date of sending the documents by email or regular mail. If you do not respond or justify your objection within the aforementioned 14-day period, Aina Car reserves the right to invoice you for the identified repair costs.
