Information about the rental

Documents required to rent with Aina Car. The renter and the driver must present a valid driver's license and an ID card or passport upon vehicle delivery. Non-EU driving licenses (except for Switzerland) are accepted if a) no visa is registered in the passport b) the client has a visa in their passport and at the time of rental has resided in Europe for less than 6 months. If they have resided in Europe for more than 6 months, they must present a driving license from an EU state. A driving license issued in a language with a non-Latin alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be supplemented with an international driving permit. For driving licenses from countries not party to the international driving license agreement, in addition to the driving license, a translation from a recognized official authority must be presented.

Certain rules apply to the minimum age and driving license, which are guided by the corresponding vehicle and may include the booking process. Basically, the minimum age for each driver is 21 years (minimum driving license 2 years). A variation of the minimum age is possible depending on the vehicle. Drivers under 26 years of age will be charged an additional fee for young driver coverage. All of our commercial vehicles can be driven with a car driving license, i.e., class B driving license. We have vans, trucks, and pickups for rent in Sabadell, Barcelona, ​​Parets, Sant Cugat, etc.

Only credit cards from internationally recognized credit card companies - such as Visa, American Express, EuroCard, EuroCard 4b, Mastercard, and Maestro - are accepted as payment methods, while all prepaid and debit cards, such as Visa Electron, are not accepted. The payment method must be issued in the name of a driver. This document must be presented with the vehicle pickup and must be valid at that time. The amount to be deducted from your cash includes the rental price as well as all additional extraordinary charges.

For security reasons, when you arrive at the rental office, a deposit on the payment method will be requested, which can be up to three times the rental price (minimum 300EUR). In the case of higher-value vehicles and commercial vehicles, different deposits of up to 2,600.00EUR may apply. The exact deposit will be determined upon vehicle delivery, as the amount depends on the vehicle. If your rental has been prepaid, the deposit to be paid will only be the deposit amount. Otherwise, the rental amount will also be charged to the credit card. Thus, the total deposit charged to the credit card will be: The rental amount + deposit.

For online reservations and prepaid / advanced reservations, the cash before the rental will be immediately charged with the total rental price (including extras and charges). These reservations are NOT refundable. The driver’s details and payment method will be recorded in the reservation and cannot be changed.

Advance charge for prepaid rates

For reservations made under full (100%) or partial (50%) prepayment modalities, the corresponding amount will be charged immediately to the payment card provided by the user during the booking process, including the rental price, taxes, extras, supplements and any other applicable charges, duly itemized prior to reservation confirmation.

Confirmation of the reservation implies the formalization of the rental agreement.

The identification details of the main driver and the payment method provided during the booking process shall be binding. Any subsequent modification will be subject to the express validation of the Provider and, where applicable, to the economic conditions in force at the time of the request.

Non-refundable nature and cases of no refund

Prepaid rates are non-refundable under the terms indicated during the booking process.

No refund of the amounts paid shall be made in the following cases:

• Failure to collect the vehicle on the agreed date and time ("no-show").

• Late collection of the vehicle attributable to the customer.

• Early return of the vehicle with respect to the contracted period.

• Cancellation outside the deadlines established in this clause.

All of the above without prejudice to any rights that may correspond to the consumer in legally established cases.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article 103.l) of the Consolidated Text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users, the right of withdrawal shall not apply to vehicle rental contracts providing for a specific date or period of performance.

Consequently, once the reservation has been confirmed, the consumer expressly acknowledges and accepts the impossibility of exercising the right of withdrawal.

Modification of the reservation

Reservations may be modified at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start date and time of the rental, unless expressly agreed otherwise between the parties and always subject to availability.

The modification will entail an administrative management fee of EUR 20.00.

Any modification shall be carried out in accordance with the prices in force on the date the change is made:

• If the new amount is higher than the amount already paid, the customer must pay the difference.

• If the new amount is lower than the amount already paid, no refund of the previously paid amounts shall be made.

Cancellation of the reservation

Cancellation must be requested in writing or by email at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start of the rental, through the following means:

In case of cancellation within the indicated period, the following conditions shall apply:

• For reservations of up to 3 days: the cancellation fee shall be 100% of the total rental price (including extras and fees).

• For reservations longer than 3 days: the cancellation fee shall be equivalent to 3 proportional rental days, with a minimum of 50% of the total reserved amount.

Outside the 48-hour period, no refund shall be made.

Non-payment

Failure to pay all or part of the amount corresponding to the reservation shall entitle the Provider to automatically cancel it, without any obligation to maintain vehicle availability.

The information you provide to Aina Car at the time of booking (such as the rental duration or your age, or the age of an additional driver) will affect the rental price. Any change to this information could therefore result in a change in this price. The price of your rental will be the one valid at the time of making your reservation or at the time you make changes to it.

The protection for the rented vehicle extends to liability insurance with a maximum insured sum for personal injury and damage worth EUR 50 million and is limited to Europe. Basic Protection coverage is always included in the rental price, as well as roadside assistance from km 0 in the national territory. It protects your liability for damages and losses caused to the vehicle in case of theft or attempted theft with a deductible.

The Deductible is the maximum amount (excluding taxes) that can be charged to the customer in case of theft or damage to the vehicle at the end of the rental. This amount must be deposited upon vehicle pickup. Since the credit card is the only payment method, this system is valid as a guarantee and collateral to cover the deductible amount in case it is charged to the customer.

The use of vehicles for the transportation of hazardous materials is excluded from insurance. Any protection coverage agreed upon within the rental contract framework will lose its validity, especially if the vehicle is used by an unauthorized driver, or if the vehicle driver does not have the required driver's license at the time of the insured event.
